1. Overview
This Cookie Policy explains how JellyNet (“we,” “us,” “our”) uses cookies and similar browser storage technologies on our Platform at https://www.jellynet.net. By using the Platform, you consent to the use of strictly necessary cookies. Analytics cookies are only set after you provide affirmative consent via our cookie consent banner.
Also see our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
2. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by websites you visit. They enable websites to remember information about your visit, such as your authentication state. “Similar technologies” include localStorage, sessionStorage, and other browser-based storage mechanisms.
3. Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for the Platform to function. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
| next-auth.session-token | NextAuth.js | Encrypted session token that keeps you authenticated after signing in. | Until sign-out or 30 days of inactivity |
| next-auth.csrf-token | NextAuth.js | Prevents cross-site request forgery (CSRF) attacks on authentication flows. | Session (cleared when browser closes) |
| next-auth.callback-url | NextAuth.js | Stores the redirect destination after authentication completes. | Session |
| cookie-consent | JellyNet | Records your cookie consent preference so we do not re-prompt on every visit. | 12 months |
These cookies do not track you across other websites. They are strictly limited to keeping your JellyNet session active and secure.
3.2 Analytics Cookies (Consent Required)
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how visitors interact with the Platform. GA4 cookies are only set after you provide affirmative consent via our cookie consent banner.
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique visitors. | 2 years |
| _ga_<ID> | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for GA4. | 2 years |
What GA4 collects (when consented): Anonymised page views, feature interactions, navigation paths, approximate location (country level), and device/browser type.
What GA4 does NOT do on our Platform:
- We do not enable Google’s advertising features.
- We do not enable cross-site tracking or Google Signals.
- We do not share data with Google’s advertising network.
- We do not use remarketing or audience-building features.
Opting out: You can withdraw consent at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in our site footer, or by using the Google Analytics opt-out browser extension.
3.3 Third-Party Cookies
Google OAuth: During sign-in, Google may set its own cookies according to Google’s Privacy Policy. These cookies are managed by Google and are outside our control.
Stripe: If you make a fiat payment, Stripe may set cookies for fraud prevention and payment processing according to Stripe’s Privacy Policy. These cookies are managed by Stripe.
No other third-party cookie-setting services are embedded in the Platform. We do not use Meta Pixel, Hotjar, or any behavioural analytics services beyond GA4.
4. Local Storage (Not Cookies)
JellyNet stores a small number of user preferences in your browser’s localStorage. These are not cookies, are not transmitted to our servers, and are read only on the client side to restore your UI state.
| Key | Purpose | Persistence |
|---|
| Mode preference | Whether you are in "supplier" or "buyer" mode. | Until you clear site data |
| Network preference | Your last-selected blockchain network (Solana/Base). | Until you clear site data |
| Theme preference | Light or dark mode selection. | Until you clear site data |
These values are not linked to your account, not sent to any server, and not used for analytics or tracking.
5. Managing Cookies
You can manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to view and delete individual cookies, block cookies from specific sites, block all third-party cookies, or clear all cookies on exit.
Note that disabling strictly necessary cookies (session, CSRF) will prevent you from signing in to JellyNet. Clearing localStorage will reset your UI preferences but will not affect your account or data.
Browser-specific instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and Security → Third-party cookies
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Privacy, search, and services → Cookies
6. Do Not Track
Some browsers send a “Do Not Track” (DNT) signal. There is no universal standard for how websites should respond to DNT. If you have not consented to analytics cookies via our consent banner, no analytics cookies will be set regardless of your DNT setting.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we change how we use cookies or similar technologies. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
